This is the registration form for the Egyptian Robot Olympiad 2023 National Finals.

Registration fees per team (2 or 3 Participant(s) + Coach or Assistant Coach): 

Early bird registration before 28th of February: 2,200 EGP per team 

Till 30th ofِ April: 2,500 EGP per team

Till 15th of June: 2750 EGP per team

Special needs  and Some NGOs may apply for free /Reduced fees  (wro.egypt@ideasgym.com)

 

Competition Categories 

Robomission (Using a Lego kit) 

Age groups:

  • It is strictly enforced that students cannot be older than specified in the Age
  • Students younger than the age group definition are not allowed. 

 

Age Group Definition

 

  1. Elementary: 8yrs to 12 years old in the year of competition.
  2. Junior: Participants 11 - 15 years old in the year of competition
  3. Senior: Participants 14 – 19 years old in the year of competition

Future Engineers (No Lego)

In the Self-Driving Cars challenge a robotic vehicle needs to drive autonomously on a parkours that randomly changes each round.

 

Every WRO category has a special focus on learning with robots. In the WRO Future Engineers category, students will focus on developing in the following areas: 

 

- Use of computer vision and sensor fusion to estimate the state of the parkours and the vehicle itself. 

- Developing a working vehicle with open-source hardware such as electromechanical components and controllers.

 - Action planning and control of robots with moving parts and kinematics different from the differential drive (e.g., steering).

 - Developing optimal strategies to solve the mission, including stability of mission solving.

 - Teamwork, communication, problem solving, project management, creativity

 

 Age group: 14 -19 years old

Future Innovators (Teams are free to use or not use Lego)

Teams have the task to develop a robot model which represents the robot as a friend and helper in the daily life of people. Teams may choose one of the two areas (1, 2) to work on, but they can also choose to work on a project that focuses on a combination of these three areas.
